INVITO A TUTTI I MAKER

Carissimo maker,
Quest’anno siamo felici di poter proporre in piazza Unità d’Italia a Trieste la decima edizione della Maker Faire Trieste, organizzata in collaborazione con il Comune.
Due giorni di evento dove il pubblico potrà ammirare le invenzioni esposte e dove i maker potranno ritrovarsi e scambiarsi opinioni e nuovi progetti.
Sabato 2 e domenica 3 settembre saremo presenti per stupire e divulgare tecnologia e creatività, e ci sarà anche il Science Picnic -una sezione della fiera dedicata alla scienza e alla sua divulgazione. Speriamo che in questa decima e speciale edizione tu riesca a far parte della manifestazione, sul sito sono presenti tutti i dettagli e il modulo da compilare per l’iscrizione, come sempre gratuita, e possiamo ospitare gratuitamente i maker che arrivano da lontano. La scadenza per iscriversi è 15 Agosto, quindi affrettati!
La decima Maker Faire Trieste procederà secondo questa tempistica:
- Sabato 2 Settembre: Allestimento degli stand in Piazza Unità d’Italia al mattino; Apertura al pubblico: 14-20. A seguire: cena/festa dei Maker.
- Domenica 3 Settembre: Apertura al pubblico: 10-18. A seguire: disallestimento degli stand (entro le ore 20).
Ci sono tanti modi per partecipare:
• Puoi esporre il tuo progetto: ti daremo una postazione per mostrare a tutti il tuo progetto, fare delle dimostrazioni e parlare con il pubblico;
• Puoi fare una presentazione dal palco: avrai da 5 a 20 minuti per raccontare il tuo progetto o una storia interessante o per appassionare il pubblico con la tua grande idea.
• Puoi tenere un workshop: avrai a disposizione un’area workshop dedicata dove fare sessioni interattive e coinvolgere i partecipanti – adulti e/o bambini – in attività pratiche.
• Puoi esibirti in pubblico: ti daremo un palco (o uno spazio libero) per esibirti nella tua performance creativa, tecnologica, robotica, musicale, scientifica…
• Puoi, se sei una ditta, vedere i tuoi prodotti (collegati al mondo maker) al pubblico previa richiesta di autorizzazione agli uffici comunali.

English version: INVITATION TO ALL MAKERS:
Dear maker,
We are happy to announce that the Maker Faire will take place in Piazza Unità, the main square of Trieste, in this tenth edition organised by us and the Municipality.
During two days, a large public will be able to see inventions and makers. It will also be a great occasion for makers to meet together and exchange ideas and new projects.
Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 September we will be there to showcase technology and ingenuity, including the Science Picnic -a section specially dedicated to Science.
We really hope that you will be able to join us again for this special 10th anniversary! You will find all information and the application form on our website, as usual participation is free of charge and we can offer free accommodations to makers coming from far away. The deadline to participate is August 15, so don’t wait!
The tenth Maker Faire Trieste will follow this schedule:
- Saturday 2 September: Setup of exhibits in Unità d’Italia Square in the morning; Open to the public: 2pm – 8pm. From 8pm: dinner/Maker’s Party.
- Sunday 3 September: Open to the public: 10am – 6pm. From 6pm: removal of exhibits (before 8pm).
You can participate in several ways:
• You can show your project: you will be given a booth to display your project, make demos and talk with the public.
• You can give a presentation/talk on stage: you will have from 5 to 20 minutes to describe your project, tell an interesting story or engage the audience with a great idea.
• You can hold a workshop: you will be given a dedicated workshop area to hold interactive sessions and engage participants – adults and / or children – in “hands on” activities.
• You can perform for the public: you will have time on the main stage (or a free space) for you to perform in creative, technological, robotic, musical, scientific performance…
• You can (if you are a commercial entity) sell your products -related to the makers world- to the public, after obtaining a specific permit from the local authorities.
